Condolence reference under Alkhidmat Foundation held in honor of shining star of Urdu literature late Amjad Islam Amjad
LAHORE, March 03 (SABAH): Condolence reference under the auspices of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan was held at Alkhidmat Foundation’s central office in honor of shining star of Urdu literature and humanity late Amjad Islam Amjad.
In the condolence reference, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Vice President Muhammad Abdul Shakoor, Ali Zeeshan Amjad, Ihsanullah Waqas, Khalid Masood, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Saadia Qureshi, Aamina Mufti, Salma Awan, Saood Usmani, Dr. Asimullah Bakhsh, other literary personalities and people from several walks of life participated.
In the condolence reference, the participants paid tributes to the services of late Amjad Islam Amjad in several departments of life, particularly Urdu literature. Addressing on the occasion, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that late Amjad was like a shady tree for Alkhidmat Foundation and continued that he was a poet, literary personality, dramatist, and kindhearted person.
Dr. Hafeezur Rehman further said that shining star of Urdu literature late Amjad Islam Amjad was sponsoring a number of children under a programme of Alkhidmat Foundation and added the late had an old relationship with Alkhidmat. He said the late was full of spirit of goodness and always found him ready for the service of humanity.
Ihsanullah Waqas said prayed for the departed soul, and added may Almighty Allah shower His countless blessings upon him while accepting his good deeds.
Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami noted his 79 books were published whereas his age was also 79, saying the late was a patriot. Her services for the society were laudable. Several other speakers also made speeches on the occasion. All the participants prayed for the departed soul as the event culminated.
