Committee meeting headed by Ishaq Dar expresses satisfaction at the stock position of urea & stability of its prices in country

ISLAMABAD, March 26 (SABAH): Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammed Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the committee to ensure stability of urea prices in the market.

The meeting was attended by Ministers for Petroleum & National Food Security, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Federal Secretaries of Ministries of Petroleum & Industries, and senior officials from the relevant departments. The committee expressed satisfaction at the stock position of urea and the stability of its prices in the country.

After detailed deliberations, the committee decided to extend gas supply to the urea sector for three months—uptil June 30, 2025—to ensure continued availability.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a preparatory meeting on the “Pakistan Mining Investment Forum,” scheduled for April 8-9 in Islamabad. Minister of Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, Special Secretary Ministry of Interior, Chairman CDA, and other officials attended the meeting.

A detailed briefing was provided on the forum’s objectives, scope, program, and other logistical arrangements. DPM/FM expressed hope that the event would reshape Pakistan’s mining sector, foster foreign collaboration, and strengthen international partnerships. He assured MoFA’s full support to the Ministry of Petroleum and other stakeholders to ensure its success.
