Coalition govt blindly playing with Constitution, judiciary & basic human rights by being a slave to the wishes of establishment: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Oct 30 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch has said that the coalition government is blindly playing with the Constitution, Judiciary and basic human rights by being a slave to the wishes of the establishment and it will prove to be torture for itself.

Liaqat Baloch expressed these views at Central Training Center and during meeting with former Prime Minister Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, former Balochistan Chief Minister Senator Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, former caretaker prime minister Senator Anwaarul Haq Kakar and other leaders and journalists in Islamabad. He said that the 26th constitutional amendment was controversial and malicious.

He said that the use of two-thirds majority to amend the Constitution was shameful, adding 27th amendment to implement the 26th constitutional amendment is against the spirit of the Constitution, the independence of the judiciary and basic human rights. He said the government should have solved the basic issues of the people while it is creating new crises.

Liaqat Baloch expressed concern over the incidents of terrorism in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that sense of peace, security of property and honor is indispensable for economic stability. He said political instability, unconstitutional elections and control of situation by state power is not a durable solution.

He said even before, during the martial law periods, there was destruction and even now, military power will not be a cure but will prove to be a killer and added that expecting America for political freedom is a big lie. He said that America, Israel, India are not Pakistan’s friends as they are looking for destruction at every opportunity.

Liaqat Baloch while addressing the 49th death anniversary program of Agha Shorish Kashmiri at National Press Club Islamabad said that he was the hero of Hurriyat, soldier of Finality of Prophethood and courageous journalist and editor.
