Climate change is an extremely important issue: PM Shehbaz

LAHORE, March 30 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has stressed upon the need to formulate a comprehensive and effective strategy to combat the issue of climate change. He said that the climate change is an extremely important issue. He said that Pakistan is included in the most affected countries from the climate change but has lowest share in the destruction of the climate change.

PM Shehbaz Sharif was chairing a meeting in Lahore on Saturday on issues pertaining to Ministry of Climate Change, during which a briefing was given about progress on policies and projects launched regarding climate change.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that issue of climate change is linked with agriculture, power, water, infrastructure and several other related sectors. He directed to form a Committee to point out issues emerged out of climate change and ways to tackle them.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers Attaullah Tarar Advocate, Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, Ahad Khan Cheema and high officials of the concerned departments and experts of the climate change filed.
