Civil-military establishment, PML-N, PPP PTI are on same page on IMF Package: Liaqat Baloch

BAJAUR, July 10 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch has said that civil-military establishment, PML-N, PPP and PTI were on the same page on the matter of IMF Package.

Addressing public workers convention in Bajaur here on Monday, Liaqat Baloch said that there was a need to end interest system in the country; self-dependence; reliance on nation and our own resources as well as confidence of Overseas Pakistanis should be restored for economic revival.

He stressed upon the need of release of missing persons from the tribal districts and added the confidence of masses should be restored through negotiation.

Liaqat Baloch noted that civil-military establishment, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were on the same page on the matter of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Package.

Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami further deplored that imposition of taxes in the merged districts and Malakand Division is tantamount to inflicting barbarism upon the people and added that Jamaat-e-Islami will leave no stone unturned till the resolution of issues of the merged districts which is why the people should standby it.

He maintained that tribal people were religion loving as well as country loving individuals who in all testing times safeguarded the borders of the country as they played crucial role in getting rid of Russian as well as the US forces from Afghanistan, while presenting sacrifices of their lives.

Liaqat Baloch stressed upon the need of self-reliance as well as putting an end to interest system in the country, saying incapable, corrupt and selfish gang of rulers could not address economic woes of the people of the country.

Talking to media persons, he remarked that elections must be held within 60 or 90 days after dissolving the assemblies as a Constitutional restriction and added that there is no alternative in this regard.

Liaqat Baloch urged upon the need of holding free, fair and transparent elections in Pakistan instead of taking life of democracy as well as breaking the Constitution. He also condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, saying the entire Islamic World was protesting against such a heinous act.
