Chaudhry brothers assure PM Imran Khan of their steadfast support against opposition’s no-confidence motion
LAHORE, Mar 01 (SABAH): As political temperatures in the country rise, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Tuesday assured Prime Minister Imran Khan of its steadfast support against the opposition’s no-confidence motion.
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday met with the top leadership of PML-Q to muster his key ally’s support amid opposition’s attempt to topple PTI-led government through a no-confidence motion which is likely to be tabled later this month.
PM Imran Khan reportedly inquired after the health of former premier and PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and discussed the overall political situation of the country in Tuesday’s meeting. The meeting lasted for 30 minutes.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Shafay Hussain, Hussain Elahi, Rasikh Elahi, Muntaha Ashraf, Muhammad Khan Bhatti, were present in the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Energy Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, Minister for Industries and Production Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, PTI MNA Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar, Advisor to PM on Commerce, Textile, Industry and Production, and Investment of Pakistan Abdul Razak Dawood also attended the meeting.
According to the statement issued by the PM Office, during the meeting the current political situation of the country and other issues of mutual interest were discussed in detail.
