Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid visits FDI to discuss collaborative efforts for improved service delivery
ISLAMABAD, March 26 (SABAH): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI) on Wednesday, where she was welcomed by the Director General (DG) FDI, Shabana Saleem. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between BISP and FDI, particularly in areas related to improving immunization services and monitoring systems for the BISP Nashouma Programme.
During the meeting, Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized the importance of a joint effort between BISP and FDI to develop a comprehensive dashboard monitoring system for the BISP Nashouma Programme. She highlighted the ongoing updates to BISP’s Management Information System (MIS) and stressed the need for both institutions to collaborate and learn from the best practices to ensure improved services for beneficiaries.
In addition to the meeting, Senator Rubina Khalid also toured the control room at FDI, where she was given an in-depth briefing by FDI officers on the Vaccination Inventory Management System (VIMS) and the National Electronic Immunization Registry (NEIR) dashboard. She praised the immunization dashboard and monitoring system, expressing her appreciation for FDI’s efforts in managing and monitoring vaccination services across the country.
Senator Rubina Khalid expressed a strong desire for technical teams from both BISP and FDI to work together in developing a similar monitoring dashboard for the Benazir Nashouma Programme, which would enable better tracking and management of services for beneficiaries.
DG FDI Shabana Saleem assured Senator Rubina Khalid of her full support and cooperation in facilitating this collaboration between the two institutions. The discussions concluded with a shared commitment to furthering the partnership and working together on the development of a robust monitoring system for BISP’s programs.
