Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid & Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad review preparations for upcoming Benazir Kafaalat tranche

ISLAMABAD, April 08 (SABAH): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, along with Secretary BISP Amer Ali Ahmad, chaired an important meeting at BISP Headquarters today to review the preparations for the upcoming tranche of the Benazir Kafaalat programme.

The meeting was attended by all Director Generals (DGs) from BISP HQs, Zonal DGs, and Directors from across the country. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure smooth, transparent, and well-coordinated disbursement of stipends to BISP beneficiaries.

During the meeting, Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid announced that she would personally conduct surprise visits to various regions to monitor arrangements at the payment campsites. She directed all Zonal DGs and Directors to ensure that comprehensive facilitation and support mechanisms are in place for beneficiaries, so they do not face any inconvenience during the disbursement process.

Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, the Chairperson instructed the DGs to protect the rights of BISP staff, ensure the presence of bank agents at all campsites, and resolve any issues swiftly and effectively. She also stressed the need for proactive engagement with all relevant stakeholders to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted operations during the disbursement phase.

Secretary BISP, Amer Ali Ahmad, directed all officials to submit daily monitoring reports, share inspection plans, and strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). He also highlighted the importance of making essential facilities available at campsites, especially clean drinking water for beneficiaries.

DG Cash Transfers, Inamur Rehman Malik, gave a detailed briefing on the overall arrangements and readiness for the upcoming tranche. Zonal DGs also shared updates on the preparations in their respective regions and discussed region-specific issues and solutions.
