Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid holds live e-katcheri session

ISLAMABAD, April 14 (SABAH): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, conducted a live E-Katcheri session on Monday through BISP’s official Facebook account. During the session, which lasted for over an hour, 30 callers from across the country contacted the Chairperson to share their issues. Senator Rubina Khalid directed BISP officials to resolve all problems and complaints on a priority basis.

At the outset of the session, while addressing the callers—particularly BISP beneficiaries—Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized that families who have completed three years of receiving financial assistance from BISP are required to undergo recertification, i.e., a re-survey, to determine continued eligibility. She cautioned that failure to complete the re-survey may lead to problems for deserving women. Therefore, beneficiaries should ensure their households are re-surveyed at the nearest BISP Tehsil Office.

She further instructed that during the survey, beneficiaries must provide a mobile number that is regularly in use and avoid changing it. If the number is changed, the new number must be reported to the BISP office to ensure continued communication.

Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted that the purpose of organizing e-katcheri sessions is to directly hear public complaints and ensure prompt redressal. She clarified that there is no fee for registration or survey in any BISP scheme. If anyone demands money in the name of BISP, they are misleading you.

She also noted that once a household has been surveyed, it cannot be surveyed again before two years. Therefore, beneficiaries should not repeatedly request surveys or visit centers unnecessarily, as it may cause inconvenience.

Senator Rubina Khalid urged all women to trust only the official number 8171 for messages related to BISP. Any message received from another number is fraudulent. Deserving women are advised to collect their full payments, and in case of any deduction, immediately lodge a complaint by calling 0800-26477 or by visiting the nearest BISP office.
