Chairman Senate congratulates parliament, people, govt & president of senate on the occasion of National Day of France

ISLAMABAD, July 14 (SABAH): Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani in his message on the occasion of France National Day congratulated the French Parliament, the people, the government, and especially the President of the Senate of France. He termed bilateral relations between Pakistan and France as strong and deep rooted.

He observed that French people struggled for democracy, human rights and freedom and, as such, this day carries its own historical significance. Chairman Senate said that there are historical links between Pakistan and France, which provide impetus to further deepen the bilateral ties.

He called parliamentary diplomacy important for strengthening relations, adding that Pakistan and France can benefit from each other’s experiences in multilateral fields. Chairman Senate also expressed well wishes for the political and parliamentary leadership of France.
