Chairman PMIC Brig. (Retd) Muzaffar Ranjha takes cognizance of concerns of PM over unwarranted delays in completion of PSDP Projects

ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (SABAH): Chairman Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) Brigadier (Retd) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha, took cognizance of the concerns of the Prime Minister of Pakistan over the unwarranted delays in the completion of PSDP Projects.

After showing dissatisfaction over the implementation status and also latest progress on decisions were made in the meeting held on 10-10-2023 at PMIC from Ministry of Interior and Pak PWD regarding the delays in completion of the project, the monitoring has been given to Member, PMIC for ensuring effective supervision of the project. 2. The Chairman PMIC, Brig. (Retd.) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha assigned the task to Inspection Team headed by Engineer Aamir Hassan, Member PMIC (former retired Federal Secretary) for vigorously persuading the project and its completion at the earliest. The team comprised of Engineer Aamir Hasan, Member and Muhammad Saleh Narejo, Director, PMIC visited the Model Prison project at H-16, Islamabad on Tuesday, 19th December 2023 and inspected the ongoing construction work of the project. The officers of Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Pak PWD, NHA, CDA and also other concerned stakeholders of the project were present during the inspection.

The team observed the progress made by the contractors and Pak PWD in the light of directions was given on 10th October, 2023 during the meeting at PMIC. Directions were given during the visit for speedy and effective completion of the project with deadlines which has been significantly delayed. 3. The PMIC team has stressed for completion of the project in true letter and spirit. The meeting on the instant project has been called on today (Wednesday) at Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission, Prime Minister’s Office, Islamabad with the officers of all concerned stakeholders of the project to brief the Chairman, PMIC on the implementation status and also latest progress on decisions were made in the meeting held on 10-10-2023 and site visit of PMIT made on 19-12-2023. The implementation report regarding progress in the project will be submitted to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
