Burhan Muzaffar Wani was icon of 4th generation resistance: IDDS

RAWLAKOT, July 08 (SABAH): Institute of multi-track diplomacy, dialogue and development studies (IDDS) with collaboration of PG college Rawlakot at grand hall organized a youth moot highlight 8 martyr anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani. He was 4th generation hero who resisted Indian illegal occupation through social media.

His legacy of resistance is an icon of freedom struggle of Kashmir. He injected new hope while engaging majority of youth not only in his presence but after his martyrdom.

Dr. Zafar delivered a powerful speech emphasizing the impact of Burhan Wani’s life and sacrifices. He discussed the broader implications of Wani’s actions on the Kashmiri youth and the international community’s perspective on the Kashmir issue.

Dr. Zafar called for continued solidarity and support for the Kashmiri cause, urging the youth to stay informed and active in their pursuit of justice and freedom.

Dr. Waleed Rasool, the chief guest and an esteemed political commentator and expert on Kashmir affairs, provided a profound analysis of Burhan Wani’s role in the freedom movement. He emphasized the power of the individual in shaping historical events, drawing on Nietzsche’s philosophy to illustrate how a single person can transform an entire struggle. Dr. Waleed highlighted how Burhan Wani’s actions and message resonated deeply across generations, embodying the potential of one individual to catalyze significant change.He connected Wani’s influence to the broader Kashmir struggle, stressing that individuals like him serve as beacons of hope and resilience for their people.

Professor Mumtaz underscored the importance of unity and strategic efforts, urging the Kashmiri people to harness their collective strength in a peaceful manner to achieve their goals. Additionally, he brought attention to the plight of Hurriyat leadership, detailing their suffering and perseverance in Indian jails. By highlighting these leaders’ sacrifices, he reinforced the narrative that individual courage and endurance are crucial in the pursuit of freedom and justice.
