Burglars stole precious materials at PSM plant; Management still playing role of silent spectator: Insaf Labor Union


KARACHI, July 28 (SABAH): A group of Burglars entered the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) plant area and took away cable while PSM Security Department is playing the role of silent spectator that needs to be probed for the sake of safeguarding assets of PSM

This was stated by Insaf Labor Union (CBA) previously through a letter to the concerning Federal Minister for Industries & Production Division, Syed Murtaza Mahmud, Federal Secretary Imdadullah Bosal, as well as the ministry, copy of which was received by South Asian Broadcasting Agency (SABAH) here on Thursday as well.

This matter was brought into the notice of the aforementioned responsible persons but still no action has been taken in connection with this, letter further stated. The CEO PSM has not initiated any investigation nor forwarded the case to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), it added.

Security staff deployed on duty is playing the role of silent spectator to facilitate burglars that was pointed by Engineer Abdul Rehman Warraich as well, the letter added.

The Insaf Labor Union leaders conveyed through this letter that they are still unable to understand that why the Ministry of Industries & Production has not initiated any inquiry against PSM Board of Directors and Management, allegedly involved in administrative/financial irregularities. 

The union is again bringing this matter into the notice of relevant minister, ministry and secretary.

It is stated that prompt action be taken against those who have been committing this crime once and again without any fear of accountability.
