British HC to Pakistan Ms Jane Marriott calls on Caretaker FM Jalil Abbas Jilani

ISLAMABAD, August 18 (SABAH): The British High Commissioner to Pakistan Ms Jane Marriott, called on Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani in Islamabad on Friday.  

During the meeting, the High Commissioner congratulated Jalil Abbas Jilani on assuming the office of the Foreign Minister.

They also discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, climate change and people-to-people contacts. The two sides also exchanged views on promotion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani expressed his best wishes to the British High Commissioner over her appointment in Pakistan.

Meanwhile according to a statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch on twitter on Friday, UK High Commissioner Jane Marriott called on FM Jalil Abbas Jilani. FM welcomed her to Pakistan. They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, climate change and people-to-people contacts to further deepen Pakistan and UK friendship.
