BISP & State Bank of Pakistan agree to further improve & simplify payment system for deserving women

ISLAMABAD, Sep 20 (SABAH): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, called on the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Jameel Ahmed on Friday. The meeting aimed to discuss the establishment of a new, improved, and transparent system for disbursement of stipends to deserving women under the Benazir Income Support Programme. Secretary Benazir Income Support Programme, Amer Ali Ahmad, was also present during the meeting.

During the discussion, Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized the vision of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan for a transparent and dignified payment process for the poor women benefiting from the Benazir Income Support Programme.

Governor State Bank, Jameel Ahmed, assured that a simplified procedure for the payment of stipends to deserving women will be developed in mutual consultation between the Benazir Income Support Programme and the State Bank of Pakistan. This will ensure that the beneficiaries receive their payments in a transparent and respectful manner.
