Bilawal Bhutto, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman meet PM Shehbaz, decide to convene APC on Gaza situation
ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will host an All Parties Conference to raise a voice against the ongoing oppression of unarmed Palestinians in Gaza and to support the Palestinian brothers and sisters.
A decision to this respect was taken at a meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and a delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan led by its Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman in Islamabad on Friday. The JI delegation included Deputy Chief Liaqat Baloch, JI Secretary General Ameerul Azim and Emir JI Islamabad Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Khwaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique, Attaullah Tarar Advocate and Ahad Khan Cheema were also present during the meeting.
The meeting also decided to observe a Day of Solidarity on Monday across Pakistan for the unarmed Muslim brothers and sisters suffering from Israeli oppression and brutality in Gaza and Palestine.
It was decided to constitute a committee for Palestine Solidarity Day and the All Parties Conference.
The committee will comprise Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Sherry Rehman, Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique and Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari.
It was agreed that rallies and seminars will be organized across Pakistan on Monday to express solidarity with the Palestinian brothers and sisters and to raise a voice against the ongoing Israeli oppression.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed full support for the Day of Solidarity regarding the ongoing oppression of unarmed Muslims in Palestine and Gaza.
The meeting appreciated Jamaat-e-Islami’s solidarity stance with the unarmed Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza and Palestine. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will participate in the All Parties Conference.
Meanwhile Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a statement issued on X wrote “I welcome the Government’s decision for the President and Prime Minister to host an all parties conference on Palestine on 7th October. One year since occupation forces began their ruthless massacre in Gaza the war theater has expanded to include Lebanon and threatens to engulf the entire region. The whole country must speak with one voice against the imperialists Zionist agenda”.
