Benazir Income Support Programme disburses Rs 28 billion among 1,127,420 flood affected families

ISLAMABAD, Sep 21 (SABAH): An amount of Rs.25,000 per family is being provided to the flood affected families of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab under Flood Relief Cash Assistance.

In Balochistan 133,842 flood affected families have received Rs.3,346,050,000; 715,564 families have received Rs.17,889,100,000 in Sindh; 125,551 families have received Rs.3,138,775,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 152,463 families of Punjab have received Rs.3,811,575,000.

As of Wednesday Benazir Income Support Programme has so far disbursed Rs.28,185,500,000 among 1,127,420 flood affected families.

On Wednesday 1,360 flood affected families in Balochistan; 100,097 families in Sindh; 476 families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 308 flood affected families in Punjab have received the financial assistance.

A total of 102,241 flood affected families have received financial assistance today from different campsites established in flood hit areas. A control room has been established at Benazir Income Support Pogramme headquarters to ensure smooth payments.
