Balochistan handed over to pirates, drugs sellers: Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch

ISLAMABAD, June 20 (SABAH): “Gwadar ko Haq do Tehreek” Chief and Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Secretary General Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch while terming the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo an alive dead body, has said that this establishment-imposed CM continues to sleep 24/7 and presides over cabinet meetings from his bedroom.

Addressing a press conference at Islamabad here on Tuesday, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch said that Chairman Senate Mir Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and so-called elected representatives of the nation were not indeed representatives of the nation but actually they were representatives of their own interests as well as their perks and privileges, holding them responsible for all the cruelties in Balochistan.

Jamaat-e-Islami District Emir Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa, Media Coordinator Shahid Shamsi and others JI leaders were also present on the occasion.

“I updated software of those who arrested me otherwise I would have not been in jail for more than a few days. Islamabad is also continuing its cruelties against the residents of the province,” he said.

He further said that no-one listens to grievances of the people of Balochistan and added it was their crime that they demand of water, health facilities, electricity and respect. He deplored that Balochistan was the province where women were disgraced at the check-posts.

Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Secretary General said that heirs of missing persons have been staging sit-in for 15 years and that they didn’t end their protest even for one day. He warned if the masses were not given their due rights, they would take the masses out of their homes to stage protests on the roads.

Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch said that this was his first visit to the federal capital after his release from the prison and added he came here to take up the case of Balochistan. He deplored that the province has been handed over to pirates and drugs sellers and the rest gap was covered by the check posts issues.

“Cruelties are inflicted upon us when we demand of our rights. We are not against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and China but we want to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Gwadar, education and health facilities,” he remarked.

Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch said that in Gwadar, the capitalists were snatching rights of the fishermen and that he himself was a son of a fisherman which was why no other than him could understand the issues faced by the fishermen community.

He deplored that drugs were being sold in the province regularly which should be curbed and added that such drug sellers sell poison during the broad daylight. He added that they wanted to rein in the pirates.

He furthered that the chief minister of the province was an alive dead body as he continued to sleep 24/7 and presided over cabinet meetings from his bedroom, adding he was imposed by the establishment

“When we demand of our rights regarding water, schools, teachers and hospitals then cruelties are inflicted on us. Sixteen cases were registered against me. I have come here in the capital city for taking up the issues of the people of Balochistan,” Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch added.
