Availability of all necessary medicines has been ensured at all hospitals of Parachinar, Federal Cabinet informed
ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (SABAH): The Federal Cabinet was informed on Tuesday that availability of all necessary medicines has been ensured at all hospitals of Parachinar.
The Cabinet, which met in Islamabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, was further told that Prime Minister’s helicopter has been designated for transportation of patients from Parachinar to other cities.
It was apprised that relief activities are continuing in Parachinar and both the Federal and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments are jointly carrying out these relief activities.
Besides, the Cabinet was apprised about the right sizing of various ministries.
During the meeting, the committee constituted in connection with the government’s right-sizing policy, presented its recommendations for various ministries including Science and Technology, Commerce, Housing and Works, National Food Security and Research and other related departments.
The committee proposed the complete closure of some departments and the merger of some others.
It also tabled suggestions to reduce staff by thirty percent in the secretariats of these ministries.
The meeting was told that after approval, these recommendations are expected to save approximately forty-two point one billion rupees of the national exchequer.
The cabinet members gave their feedback on the recommendations.
The Prime Minister directed review of recommendations in the light of suggestions of the cabinet members and present report in the cabinet again.
