August 5 protest day against Indian aggression & political victimization of Yasin Malik: Acting Chairman JKLF Raja Haq Nawaz Khan
SRINAGAR, July 27 (SABAH): The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has appealed to the people of the State of Jammu Kashmir to demonstrate national unity by organizing joint protests on August 5 against the Indian aggression in Indian held Jammu Kashmir, and against the political victimization of the most beloved national political leader of the State, Muhammad Yasin Malik.
This was stated by the acting chairman of JKLF Raja Haq Nawaz Khan. Raja Haq Nawaz Khan appealed people in IHJK to observe complete strike on August 5, and called for joint protests in AJK- GB and abroad against Indian State terrorism and in solidarity with illegally incarcerated pro-freedom Kashmiri political leaders including Yasin Malik.
He said that the current Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Singh Modi is now hell bent upon in awarding death penalty to the most popular freedom-loving national political leader of the State of Jammu Kashmir and the chairman of the JKLF, Muhammad Yasin Malik, after he was sentenced to life imprisonment last year in fake, concocted and politically motivated cases. He said that like Yasin Malik and many other top pro-freedom Kashmiri leaders, thousands of Kashmiri people, including young, old and women for demanding freedom have been imprisoned by India and lodged for years together in remotest jails of the country.
The Acting JKLF Chairman appealed to the people of Jammu Kashmir to make the protests successful, and directed the party leaders and members, spread around the world, to play their key role in organizing joint public protests at all levels on August 5 wherein the central and zonal party leadership’s participation is a must.
Raja Haq Nawaz Khan termed the call given by British Kashmiri Community for joint protest rally from Parliament Square to Indian High Commission in London UK on August 5 as a ‘Good move’. While lauding the role being played by JKLF cadre within the community in UK, Mr. Khan said that the joint effort in organizing such an event will for sure lead it to success. He said that the JKLF leaders in UK along with the leaders of other pro-freedom political parties are proactively engaged in carrying out the public contact campaign as well as the arrangements of the rally.
Raja Haq Nawaz Khan, in order to raise their collective voice for freedom and to express their solidarity with all the Kashmiri prisoners including Yasin Malik, appealed to all men and women belonging to different ideologies and political parties of Jammu Kashmir living in Britain for their full participation in the protest.
The Acting Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front informed that the communication of the party leaders, at diplomatic and human rights fronts, with international human rights organizations continues in the ongoing campaign launched by the party for the release of Yasin Malik. He further said that the continuing series of communications and meetings in this regard with officials of international human rights organizations and governmental and non-governmental organizations along with important personalities of many countries were encouraging. The leadership of the relevant institutions of the party after proper consultations have set goals to achieve at the diplomatic and human rights fronts, he added.
