Attaullah Tarar inaugurates Media Facilitation Centre at Pak-China Friendship Center
ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar inaugurated Media Facilitation Centre at Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad on Monday.
The center has been established to facilitate local and foreign media on the occasion of SCO summit.
The Media Facilitation Centre has modern facilities including computer lab, high speed internet, digital studio, podcast studio, media library and conference room.
Later, addressing the press conference, the Information Minister said the government has ensured the availability of all facilities under one roof in the Media Facilitation Centre as per international standards.
He appreciated the entire team of Information Ministry for the provision of all facilities in the Media Facilitation Center.
He said it is an honour to host the SCO summit and Pakistan is looking forward to warmly welcome the respectable guests and dignitaries.
Highlighting about hospitality and peace loving nature of Pakistani nation, he said Islamabad is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world and it has been further adorned depicting Pakistan’s wonderful culture so that the visiting guests carry a positive image of the country.
The Information Minister said hosting of SCO meeting is a manifestation that Pakistan has the capability and capacity to organize mega events.
Attaullah Tarar expressed satisfaction regarding the security measures saying red zone is fully safe and secure area and foolproof security arrangements have been made for the summit.
Talking about the economy, he said Pakistan’s economic indicators are showing a positive trajectory and international organizations have declared Pakistan as an emerging economy.
