Attacks on country’s institutions cannot be termed political protest: Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE, May 29 (SABAH): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry has said that elections in the country will be held on time. 

Talking to the media in Lahore on Monday, Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership faced jails even in tough situations, but never raised hue and cry.

Ahsan Iqbal said no patriotic person can support negative propaganda being promoted by the PTI overseas social media against country’s defence institutions. He said attacks on country’s institutions cannot be termed political protest.

Ahsan Iqbal said if any political worker would play role within the parameters of politics and democracy, then he would be considered as part of democracy.

To a question, he said Pakistan has met all conditions of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and soon matters would be finalised which would definitely end uncertainty in the market.

Meanwhile Ahsan Iqbal has said country’s youth are second to none in the world in terms of their intelligence and skills.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Engineering Innovation Exhibition & Spatial AI projects at Arfa Software Technology Park in Lahore on Monday. He said we have entered the age of paradigm shift.

Ahsan Iqbal said that digital revolution is making all those models irrelevant which were existing in different fields of life. He said education, human resources and youth are targeted in the Vision 2025.
