Attachment of my ancestral properties by Indian Hindutva establishment is a cowardly act: Farooq Rehmani
ISLAMABAD, March 29 (SABAH): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League (JKPFL) and Ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC-AJK) has said that yesterday, the attachment of my ancestral immovable properties by the Indian Hindutva establishment at Onagam Bandipora has no relevance to the ongoing conditions in the IIOJ&K and is contrary to the international humanitarian law.
The FIR filed by the Delhi regime against me are false and fabricated but, aimed at creating an atmosphere of fear among the people of Kashmir. Having no moral and democratic basis to rule the Occupied State, the Modi-Amitsha establishment is taking every step out of frustration and failure. Property confiscation or imprisonment of the Hurriyat leaders, sympathisers or human rights advocates, will not deter them from continuing their peaceful struggle for freedom and the right of self-determination as envisaged in the relevant UN resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.
Therefore , I strongly denounce India’s illegal and baseless steps to attaching my ancestral immovable properties at Bandipora and urge the right minded constitutional lawyers and human rights voices to compel India to revoke such laws and illegal actions of the attachment of properties by police at Onagam Bandipora”
