ATC Islamabad Judge accepts bail application of prominent journalist Mohsin Jamil Baig in terrorism related case
ISLAMABAD, Mar 14 (SABAH): Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad Judge Muhammad Ali Waracih has accepted the bail application of prominent journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Jinnah and Online News Agency Mohsin Jamil Baig in terrorism related case. The court has directed Mohsin Baig to submit surety bonds of Rs 0.5 million.
The court has directed the authorities concerned to release Mohsin Jamil Baig if he is not wanted in any other case. The case against Mohsin Baig was registered under the terrorism charges. It is worth mentioning here that the bail of Mohsin Jamil Baig was also already approved by the court for keeping illegal weapon case.
The anti-terrorism court had reserved judgment after the completion of the arguments of official prosecutor on Monday. Prior to this the counsel of Mohsin Baig had completed his arguments on the last hearing of the case.
It is worth mentioning here that Mohsin Baig was arrested by FIA from his house in Islamabad on 16th February on the complaint of Minister for Communications Murad Saeed. Currently Mohsin Baig is in Adyala jail on judicial remand.
