At least 8 passengers killed, over 70 injured in result of collision between two buses in Sheheed Benazirabad district

SHEHEED BENAZIRABAD, June 25 (SABAH): At least eight passengers were killed and more than 70 injured in a fatal road accident in Sheheed Benazirabad district on early Sunday.

The incident occurred in Dorr area when two passenger buses collided with each other.

Rescue sources said one bus was traveling from Karachi to Obarra whereas the other one was going to Karachi from Peshawar. Reportedly, the accident happened due to over-speeding. One of the killed passengers has been identified as Qurban Mirani, resident of Ghotki.

Rescue sources further said that women and children were also among the injured, whereas all the injured were shifted to taluqa hospital Dorr and People’s Medical University Hospital Nawabshah. 25 injured persons were shifted in Dorr hospital and 25 were shifted in People’s Medical University Hospital Nawabshah; meanwhile 20 passengers were discharged after providing initial treatment.
