At least 4 tourists killed & several others injured in two separate road accidents in Swat & Islamabad

SWAT/ISLAMABAD, Nov 25 (SABAH): At least 4 tourists were killed and several others injured in two separate road accidents in Swat and federal capital Islamabad on Saturday.  

On Saturday vehicles of the tourists fell into ditch at location of Pashmall Kalam valley tehsil Bahrain in district Swat. In the result of the accident three tourists were killed and 16 others injured.

The killed tourists include Waqas Ashraf r/o Lahore, Muhammad Abdullah r/o Lahore and Molvi Atif r/o Lahore. Meanwhile injured include Driver Muhammad Khalid r/o Lahore, Abubakkar r/o Lahore  Mohsin Raza r/o Faisalabad, Salman Butt r/o Lahore, Noman Aslam r/o Lahore, Rana Faraz r/o Faisalabad, Ahmad Faraz r/o Lahore, Kalerm Bhatti r/o Lahore, Riswan Ali r/o Lahore, Waseem Khalid r/o Lahore, Sheraz r/o Lahore, Hassan Ilyas r/o Lahore, Muhammad Aman r/o Lahore, Hamid Qurashi r/o Lahore, Zulqurnain r/o Lahore, and Syed Hassan.

Meanwhile in a separate incident, a school girl was killed and at least 20 were injured as a school bus fell into a ravine near the Shahdara area of Islamabad on Saturday.

Police confirmed the one casualty and number of injured students, saying that the pupils had been brought to the federal capital from Sheikhupura on a school trip when they met the accident.

They said that at least 39 students were on board the bus and the girl died on the spot. The rescue teams reached the site of the accident and shifted the injured to hospitals, they said.

Thirteen of the students were shifted to Poly Clinic Hospital and eight to the PIMS hospital. Sharing further details of the incident, the police said that the vehicle’s engine was running while the driver stood outside. At that time, they said, the bus started moving down the hill and eventually landed in the ditch.
