Asif Luqman Qazi appointed Member of the Board of Trusties & Executive Council of the International Union of Muslim Scholars


ISLAMABAD, March 17 (SABAH): Director Foreign Affairs Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Asif Luqman Qazi has been appointed Member of the Board of Trusties and Executive Council of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

The appointment of Asif Luqman Qazi has been made by Central President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars Prof. Dr. Ali Mohiuddin Qara Daghi with the consultation of the Central Council of the Union.

The Central Office of the International Union of Muslim Scholars is situated in Qatar. The foundation of the Union was laid by prominent Muslim scholar Allama Yuossef Al Qaradawi in 2004. The meeting of the General Assembly of the International Union of Muslim Scholars was held in Doha in January 2024. The meeting was attended by more than 1,000 Muslim scholars, Ulema and writers from all over the world. Qatari foreign minister had hosted the General Council meeting of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

Meanwhile in a letter addressed to Prof. Dr. Ali Mohiuddin Qara Daghi, Asif Luqman Qazi has said that Muslim Ummah is facing many challenges and there is heavy responsibility lies on the Muslim scholars. Asif Luqman Qazi said that he will work enthusiastically for achieving the goals of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.
