APS incident still hurts like a dagger in the heart: Sehar Kamran

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (SABAH): On the tenth anniversary of the gruesome attack on the Army Public School (APS), Peshawar, Member National Assembly of Pakistan Sehar Kamran has said that despite being ten years, the scars and wounds from that day are still fresh in our memory. She said that the December 16 incident was a dagger in the heart of the nation—one that will hurt forever and can never be forgotten. This horrific event, which claimed the lives of more than 150 innocent individuals, mostly school children, shook humanity to its core and remains a fresh wound for our entire nation.

In her message, Sehar Kamran emphasized, “The nation stands united and will fight against these elements till its last breath.” She acknowledged the significant improvements in Pakistan’s security situation, attributing it to the ongoing operations against faceless, brutal enemies. The vigilance and sacrifices of our armed forces and law enforcement agencies have been pivotal in the struggle to defeat the curse of terrorism.

However, she stressed the necessity of strong political determination to fully eradicate this menace. The National Action Plan must be implemented in full spirit as a testament to our collective resolve. Together, we will honour the memories of the fallen and ensure a safe and secure future for all.
