APHC criticizes surge in Indian state terrorism in IIOJK
SRINAGAR, Dec 6 (SABAH): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference while denouncing the surge in Indian state terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir has said that Kashmir is purely a political issue, which needs to be resolved by granting the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination guaranteed to them by the United Nations.
According to media reports, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar hailed the steadfastness and invincible determination of the brave people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir to continue their freedom struggle. He said the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris for their inalienable right have created a magnificent history in the list of contemporary freedom movements of the modern world.
He deplored that in the critical situation when the life, honour, existence, culture and identity of the oppressed Kashmiris were at stake, the criminal silence of the world was adding insult to their injury. It is the responsibility of people with conscience all over the world to raise their voice against the Indian brutalities in Kashmir, he maintained.
The APHC spokesman reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take their ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion at all costs. He urged the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, to take cognizance of the critical situation prevailing in occupied Kashmir and initiate measures for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
