Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar urges the overseas community to invest in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Nov 14 (SABAH): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has urged the overseas community to invest in Pakistan.

Talking to a delegation of overseas Pakistanis that called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the government will provide them with all possible help and facilities in this regard.

The Prime Minister said overseas Pakistanis are our precious asset that plays a key role in the country’s economy.

He said transfer of remittances of overseas Pakistanis through a legal and safe channel is very important for the country’s development. He encouraged overseas Pakistanis to transfer their funds through Roshan Digital Pakistan Account. He said Roshan Digital Pakistan Account is a secure means of transferring funds, which can be used to contribute to the improvement of the country’s economy.

The Prime minister said protecting the investment of Overseas Pakistanis and their properties is the responsibility of government, and there is no room for negligence in this regard.

Meanwhile Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has underscored that easy visa procedures, improved banking channels and reciprocal warehousing facilities would further boost trade between the two countries.

He was talking to a seven-member delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Jamshid Khodjaev Abdukhakomovich in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He expressed satisfaction at the pace of bilateral engagements between the two countries especially in the areas of trade, defence and connectivity.

He also appreciated the holding of the First Trilateral Meeting of the Commerce Ministers of Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in Islamabad.

He hoped that the business community of both countries could easily achieve the bilateral trade target of one billion dollars in a short time.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Khodjaev expressed the hope that both sides will continue active engagement for the timely completion of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project.
