Another alleged audio of Bushra Bibi regarding sale of watches leaked

ISLAMABAD, Dec 08, (SABAH): Following weeks of a lull in the audio leaks saga, another clip surfaced on Thursday purportedly featuring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Syed Zulfiqar Abbad Bukhari and Bushra Bibi — the wife of PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan — where the duo could be heard talking about the sale of [wristwatches] in the possession of the former premier.

The 21-second audio, which made the rounds on social media, begins with Zulfi and Bushra exchanging pleasantries before the latter talks about watches.

“There are a few [watches] of Khan sahib who wants them to be delivered to you so you could sell them. These watches are not in his use so he wants them to be sold off,” Bushra Bibi purportedly told Bukhari.

The conversation ends with Zulfi replying in absolute agreement, saying “sure, murshid. I will do it.” Bukhari or the PTI have yet to comment on it.

The transcription of the audio is as under:

Bushra Bibi: Hello

Zulfi Bukhari: Assaalamo Alaikum, ji

Bushra Bibi: Ji, Walaikum Salam How are you?

Zulfi: I’m fine murshid, how are you?

Bushra: Thanks to Allah, Alhamdulillah. There are some watches of Khan sahib. He asked me to send these to you and you will sell them because they are of no use to him.

Zulfi: Yes

Bushra: So, he wants you to deal with it

Zulfi: Yes, murshid. I will do it

As soon as the audio was leaked, Mohammad Hamid Shafiq, the owner of “Art of Time” in a video statement, distanced himself from the controversy. “I neither bought any watch nor have I got anything to do with this whole thing,” said Shafiq in a video. He added propaganda was going on against him —tying him to the purchase of the watch.

“Neither is that my shop’s bill (receipt), nor is that my signature. Even that handwriting is not mine. My business stamps and other things have been used unlawfully,” Shafiq shared.

He added that he was hoping the matter would die down by itself —which was why he did not respond to any questions being raised.

Shafique warned of legal action [against the propagandists] if he was dragged into the matter deeper.

PML-N MPA Hina Pervez Butt, in her tweet, accused the ex-PM’s wife of indulging in the “business of watches” at the PM House. “Bushra Bibi has established Niazi sahib as a confirmed thief.”
