Announcement of holding of general elections will only be announced by govt: Marriyum Aurangzeb
ISLAMABAD, May 26 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that long march of Imran Khan was badly failed as people of Pakistan proved that they want politics of development and prosperity.
Talking to media persons outside the parliament in Islamabad on Thursday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that people on Wednesday witnessed the difference between disruptive and constructive politics.
She said Imran Khan staged this drama only to fail negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Minister said that Imran Khan also committed contempt of the Supreme Court by directing his workers to reach D-Chowk.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said announcement of holding of general elections will only be announced by the government and its allies at stipulated time. She said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is working round the clock to bring countrymen out of the economic crisis.
Meanwhile in an interview with the state-run TV Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the reason of anger of Imran Khan is election of Mian Muhammad Shehabz Sharif as Prime Minister, adding that the reason of Imran Khan’s anger is the performance of Shehabz Sharif, which Imran Khan’s government failed to perform in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in last nine years, adding that Imran Khan took the inflation rate at 16 percent in country and Shehbaz Sharif has announced to brought it at the lowest level of history of Pakistan. She said that no citizen of the country wants to set the country on fire.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan announces decrease in petroleum prices on 31st March and it was unfunded subsidy and no ECC, minister or cabinet approved this and was only announced by one person Imran Khan, adding that this is the misuse of authority. She said that now the nation will hear good news of employment and decrease in inflation. She said that now our narrative is economic stability and building Pakistan and we will carry forward this narrative.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that only two out of two dozen rented spokespersons of PTI have left. Replying a question, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that any contact with India will only be made when it will take back 5th August 2019 decision of annexing occupied Kashmir, adding that this is our clear policy regarding India and whole Pakistan is aware about it. She said that when Imran Khan’s narrative of American conspiracy was buried then he started saying there is threat to his life. She said that now polices will be done in the country on the basis of performance.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that tabling no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was the decision of the masses and voice of the masses, adding that first time in 75 years history of Pakistan, no-confidence motion has been succeeded. She said that it would be the decision of the coalition partners to when call the fresh elections, adding that Imran Khan has lost the authority to announce the date of the fresh elections after success of the no-confidence motion against him. She said that in past the illegal helicopter use of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government case was closed against Imran Khan in NAB but today he is again using the official helicopter of KP government. She said that the narrative of the PTI is, which was seen by the nation in Masjid-e-Nabvi (PBUH) incident faced by the delegation of PM Shehbaz Sharif.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that no misuse of authority, no corruption, no money laundering was proved in any case lodged against the PML-N leaders by NAB.
