An emergency meeting under Alkhidmat Disaster Management Program held on appalling earthquake in Morocco

LAHORE, Sep 11 (SABAH): An emergency meeting under the auspices of Alkhidmat Disaster Management Program was held in connection with appalling earthquake in Morocco aimed at taking stock of preparations of search and rescue teams as well as putting in place strategy for this. 

In the meeting, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Vice President Muhammad Abdul Shakoor, Chairman Disaster Management Program Aijaz Ullah Khan and other office-bearers participated.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that entire team of Alkhidmat Foundation and Pakistani people are standing with their Morocco’s brothers and sisters and added team of Alkhidmat Disaster Management is equipped with state-of-the-art search and rescue equipment. “After the earthquake, these teams of Alkhidmat Foundation are high alert and may depart for Morocco as soon as need arises,” he added. 

Apart from search and rescue activities, Alkhidmat Foundation also can provide medical assistance for which it has talented team of orthopedic surgeons which inspected and provided medical treatment to the victims of recent earthquake in Türkiye.
