Among internet users in Pakistan 18% use VPN, with men (23%) and respondents under 30 (24%) among heavier users: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (SABAH): According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, among internet users in Pakistan 18% use VPN, with men (23%) and respondents under 30 (24%) among heavier users.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women who are internet users from across the country was asked the question, “Please tell me if you use VPN?” In response, 18% said ‘Yes’, 80% said ‘No,’ and 2% either did not know or did not respond.

According to another survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, more than half the country (57%) prefers not to go out at night for security reasons, with urban residents slightly more likely (58%) to feel unsafe than rural residents (56%).

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the question, “Which of the following things have you done for reasons of security [preferred not to go out at night]?” In response, 57% said ‘Yes,’ and 43% said ‘No.’
