Ameerul Azim urges people to vote for JI to pave the way for transforming the country into an Islamic welfare state

LAHORE, Jan 05 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ameerul Azim has cautioned the public against political parties that consist of around 200 members from a total of 25 families and engage in a long practice of forming and toppling governments in the country.

During a corner meeting in his electoral constituency, NA-126 Lahore, he urged the people to vote for JI to pave the way for transforming the country into an Islamic welfare state and breaking the status quo and dynastic politics.

Ameerul Azim criticized the frequent practice of turning ministers into prisoners and prisoners into ministers when the “referee” changes, emphasizing that the people of the country should have the opportunity to elect their representatives in a free and fair manner. He advocated putting an end to the game of snake and ladder.

Addressing the ongoing debate on the top court, Ameerul Azim expressed concern that if the interpretation of Islam is based on reason rather than the Quran and Sunnah, confusion will prevail. He highlighted that in a country claiming to be Islamic, religion is not allowed to enter politics, justice, and the economy. Jamaat-e-Islami aims to open the door of religion in all fields, he stated.

Ameerul Azim condemned the abandonment of the Quran and Sunnah in favor of limited reasoning confined to a specific time and place, labeling it as a devilish act. He warned against blindly following human intellect, as it leads to opportunism, whether in the decisions of five judges or the actions of 500 members of parliament. He said that one must not be the part of the snake and ladder game and should learn from the country’s past episodes.
