Ameerul Azim leads protest march to Swedish embassy in Islamabad against desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden
ISLAMABAD, July 3 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azeem led the protest march to Swedish embassy in the federal capital against the desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden and demanded of the rulers to deport Sweden’s ambassador besides disconnecting relations with it.
Ameerul Azim demanded of the government to call back the Pakistani ambassador from Sweden. Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and former MNA Mian Muhammad Aslam, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad Nasrullah Randhawa and President of Central Organization of Traders Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry also addressed the participants of the protest march.
On this occasion, the speakers condemned the incident in strongest possible terms and conveyed fury of the Pakistani masses to the relevant authorities. The embassy was also handed over a protest script.
Addressing the participants of the protest march, Ameerul Azim said that the Holy Quran is the ultimate truth and instruction but idolators demonstrate disgust towards it and continued that Islamophobia has become a norm in Europe which is tantamount to ruining peace of the globe. He further deplored that Islamic injunctions and veiled women were disgraced in Europe.
He further said that anti-Islamic incidents have been occurring in Europe continuously which is indeed a conspiracy to destroy peace of the world as well as a challenge to the belief and honor of 1.75 billion Muslims.
Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami said that Jamaat-e-Islami’s workers and Muslim Ummah will leave no stone unturned to foil such conspiracies while putting aside the threats to their own lives. He termed the rulers of Pakistan coward who were showing complete apathy towards the matter of grave concern.
In Sweden, he said the permission of the desecration of the Holy Quran was given at the government level but rulers of Islamic World, especially Pakistan were doing their job through plethora of statements. He stressed upon the need of forging unity among the Ummah and added that nefarious designs of enemies of Islam could be foiled only through a concerted strategy.
On this occasion, the protestors raised slogans against the government of Sweden. Other leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami also addressed on the occasion and demanded of taking strict action against those involved in the desecration of the Holy Quran.
