Altaf Ahmed Shah should immediately be released: Farooq Rehmani

ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (SABAH): The Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League and Ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyet Conference,  Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has expressed serious concern over about deteriorating health of Altaf Ahmad Shah, senior APHC leader suffering from acute and advanced cancer in his body but not receiving the required treatment at this stage.

He demanded his immediate release from the detention to avail of proper treatment and look-after by his family. At the same time, he warned that leaders of the Hurriyat Conference were suffering with multiple diseases for want of health care facilities due to their long detention and fabricated criminal cases based upon the NIA campaign of vengeance during the last several years. Similarly, thousands of youth, he alleged were allowed to rot in different jails of India under inhuman and tyrannical state of affairs due to the BJP rule of fascism and fanaticism”. He appealed to the international community to raise its voice for release of all political detainees from jails and notorious interrogation centres.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani denounced Indian Home minister’s 3 day visit to Vaishno Devi, Rajoori, and Baramulla in North Kashmir to hide India’s state crimes against innocent and peace loving people, who are being subjected to fake encounters, demographic and cultural annihilation and religious prejudices of deep settler colonialism but under a cunning facade of corrupted economic programmes meant to hoodwink the outside world.

He supported APHC’s call for general strike in Jammu and Kashmir to reject India’s duplicity and anti- Kashmir policies across the illegally Occupied State.
