Altaf Ahmad Bhat pays glowing tributes to the late Maulana Abbas Ansari


ISLAMABAD, Oct 25 (SABAH): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of veteran pro-freedom Kashmiri leader, former Hurriyat chairman and chairman of Majlis Ittehad ul Muslimin Maulana Abbas Ansari, who passed away after a protracted illness at his residence in Khankhai Sokhta Nawakadal, Srinagar on Tuesday.

While paying glorious tributes to the late leader Maulana Abbas Ansari, in his condolence message, Altaf Ahmad Bhat said that Maulana Abbas Ansari was a prominent Islamic scholar of Kashmir “we are deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of Maulana Abbas Ansari Sahib, he added.

“Today, we have lost a great religious and resistant leader who spent his entire life serving people and contributing to the ongoing freedom movement in occupied Jammu Kashmir, he was simple but accurate in his commitment towards freedom struggle.” Chairman JKSM Bhat added.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of late Maulana Abbas Ansari, and I pray to Almighty Allah to give them enough strength to bear the pain of this inconsolable and irreparable loss. May Almighty Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace.” He further said, “In this hour of grief, JK Salvation Movement and resistance camp stands in solidarity with the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, a delegation of JKSM participated in Namaz e Jinaza of the late religious and pro-freedom leader and expressed solidarity with grieved family.
