All institutions must be bound by the limits of the constitution: Liaqat Baloch


LAHORE, Sep 22 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that all the institutions must abide by the limits of the constitution.

Liaqat Baloch visited the camps in Bedian Road Hir, Gopal Nagar, Baghbanpura, Shalimar, Clifton Colony, Model Town, Link Road, Wapda Town, Bagridian Chowk, Ferozepur Road and Ichra to contact people regarding membership campaign and addressed the workers. He said that Pakistan’s politics has remained weak and vulnerable before the establishment due to disorganized political parties.

Liaqat Baloch said the goals of the establishment of Pakistan were forgotten by expelling the political theory, principle and character, the country is rich in natural resources, fertile land and human skills but corruption, mismanagement and selfishness have left the entire country paralyzed and heaped before foreign colonial institutions. He said the people should support Jamaat-e-Islami, become its members and make national politics strong on the basis of ideology and character.

He said the popular politics and popularity of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Altaf Hussain and the founder PTI have plunged the country into toxic polarization instead of stability. He said popularity alone cannot get the country out of crises, organizing the entire nation and giving hope to the youth will end the crisis. The crisis of politics, democracy, parliament, judiciary and constitutional amendments is a sign of self-interest and unconstitutional style of governance, he said and added the limits of the constitution must be adhered to.

Liaqat Baloch said that the government is taking undemocratic and dictatorial measures by erecting obstacles in the way of public meetings, adding peaceful political gatherings is parties political, constitutional an democratic right.

He said the issue of reserved seats has been complicated by judicial division, ambiguous judgments of partiality, and the problem of missing persons across the country has become dire. He said that in Balochistan, women becoming the first force of protest is a new history and also dangerous. He said the government and security agencies should solve the problem of missing persons according to the constitution and law, adding state institutions have no right to an unconstitutional character.

Liaqat Baloch said that the “Kachay” bandits are safe and powerful because of the “Pakka” facilitators. In response to a question, he said that the authority of power distribution and bill collection was taken from WAPDA and handed over to the power distribution companies, adding people are suffering in the form of bills.
