Alkhidmat Foundation’s relief operation underway in country’s rain & floods-hit areas: Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas


LAHORE, August 1 (SABAH): Millions of people were affected in different areas of the country, especially, Balochistan, in wake of recent rains, of whom many are still stranded to pass their lives under an open sky and need rations, tents and medical aid.  

Alkhidmat’s relief operation is underway in the rain and flood-hit areas of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and other areas of the country.

While sharing the details, Acting President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas said that volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation are playing their role in rain and flood hit areas of Jhal Magsi, Bela, Winder, Hub, Panjgur, Gwadar, Nushki, Khuzdar, Kolpur, Mach, Kachi, Sohbatpur, Sibi and Qilla Saifullah.

Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas said that Alkhidmat’s volunteers are busy in rescuing people, transporting them to the safe areas, managing cooked food for them and providing dry rations and tents, and continued that they are being provided with medical assistance through mobile medical campus.

Moreover, Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas said that aid caravans from Karachi, Lahore and other cities are being dispatched to the rain and flood affected areas, adding “I appeal to the whole nation, particularly, philanthropists to come out for the assistance of rain and flood affectees by standing with the Alkhidmat Foundation of Pakistan.”
