Alkhidmat Foundation would establish ‘Aghosh Home’ in Kabul city for 150 Afghan orphan children: Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas
LAHORE, Feb 02 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a leading Afghan welfare organization “The Humanitarian Assistance Society” for the establishment of “Aghosh Home”’ to sponsor orphans in brotherly Islamic country Afghanistan.
According to the agreement, Alkhidmat Foundation would initially set up Aghosh Home in Kabul for the care of 150 orphans. The MoU signing ceremony was held at Alkhidmat Complex Lahore, in which Senior Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas and Chairman Afghanistan Dr. Haroon Khatibi signed the MoU. Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Shahid Iqbal, Vice President and President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region Khalid Waqas, Executive Director Khubaib Bilal, Noorul Wahid Jadoon and other officials were also present on the occasion. On the occasion, Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas said that Alkhidmat was a prominent organization sponsoring thousands of orphans across the country.
It is to be noted here that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan currently has 18 ”Aghosh Homes”’ for orphans and a home for Syrian orphans at the Turkish border town of Ghazi Antab. There are 1414 children living in these “‘Aghosh Homes” where they are provided accommodation, food, health and education as well as conducive environment for mental and physical development.
