Alkhidmat Foundation would continue every possible help till complete rehabilitation of flood affectees: Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman
LAHORE, Feb 12 (SABAH): President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman has said that Alkhidmat Foundation would continue every possible help till the complete rehabilitation of the flood affectees.
President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman visited flood affected districts of Sindh and Balochistan including Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Jaffarabad and reviewed the projects continued under the Alkhidmat Tameer-e-Watan Program.
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that so far 17,000 pregnant women have been registered under the safe mother, safe family project; meanwhile 900 normal deliveries have been reported. He said that so far 750,000 patients have benefited from the medical camps and field hospitals of Alkhidmat Foundation.
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that through 12 mobile units, 90,000 people have been provided the medical treatment facility. He said that along with this 150,000 hygiene kits, 10,000 safe delivery kits and newly born kits have been distributed.
He said that after spending Rs 10 billion on the rescue and relief of the flood affectes, the rehabilitation work with the cost of Rs 5 billion is continued, which include repair and construction work of 10,000 houses, repair and construction work of 600 schools, mosques and seminaries. Permanent looking after of over three thousand orphan children aged between 4 to 12 years and provision of clean drinking water. He said that so far seeds, fertilizers and pesticides have been provided to 10 thousand small farmers, which along with the help of these farmers is also an effort to enhance the food production of the country.
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman visited the sites of the hospitals and Alkhidmat Complex going to be constructed in Jaffarabad and Jacobabad in near future and reiterated that services will continue till the complete rehabilitation of the flood affectees.
