Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing distributes sewing machines among women who completed sewing diplomas, sewing courses
LAHORE, July 9 (SABAH): Skilled women are playing significant part in the development of the country. Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing is helping out women in making them self-sufficient while enabling them for employments thus it is also playing its role in putting an end to joblessness.
These views were expressed by program manager Sumera Chapra while addressing a ceremony of giving away certificates and prizes among the women who completed sewing diploma and sewing courses at Alkhidmat Community Centre.
In the ceremony, PP Nazima Qadar Nazeef, President Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Trust Lahore Saima Shabir and others participated. On this occasion, a number of women made dresses and several items were displayed as well.
Addressing on the occasion, Sumera Chapra said that there was no field of life left where women did not prove their capabilities and competencies and added it was for the first time that two women judges were appointed in the Supreme Cour of Pakistan which gave them opportunity to deliver justice from their senior most positions.
She maintained that hundreds of women who got training under the aegis of Alkhidmat Women Wing were playing their part in the development of the country alongside fulfilling the duties of sponsoring their families.
