Alkhidmat Foundation transported aid luggage for 6,000 families of Gaza on 10 trailers weighing 150 ton from Ismailia Egypt: Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman


 LAHORE, Jan 21 (SABAH): Gaza Bazar was organized under Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust in Lahore. The motif behind organizing bazar was to show solidarity with Gaza victims and collection of donations for victims of Gaza besides promotion of Pakistani products in comparison with international products.

Income collected in the bazar has been donated to Gaza victims. In Alkhidmat Gaza Bazar, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri, Chairperson of Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust, Navida Anees, Guardian Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust Dr. Humera Tariq, President Alkhidmat Women Wing Pakistan Kulsoom Fatima Ranjha, Chairman Alkhidmat Health Foundation Dr. Zahid Latif, Uzma Imran and people from several walks of life participated in the bazar in large number.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that Alkhidmat Foundation is continuing every possible aid activities for victims of Gaza. After the next day of current war, Alkhidmat Foundation had started rescue and relief operation on emergency basis along with its international partners NGOs which is still underway, he said. Aid luggage is being transported from Pakistan, Egypt and Jordan, he said and added he reached back to Pakistan from Egypt during the previous night.

He said Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has transported aid luggage for 6000 families of Gaza on 10 trailers weighing 150 ton from Ismailia Egypt which included ration, tents, blankets, mattresses and other important things. Before this, Alkhidmat Foundation transported 57 tons of aid luggage in three phases from Noor Khan Airbase with the cooperation of NDMA and Pakistan Air Force, he added.

In Gaza, Dr Hafeezur Rehman said system of medical relief has been completely destroyed and continued there is no ambulance for transportation of the injured and patients. Alkhidmat Foundation has planned to transport 20 modern ambulances to Gaza, he noted and added three of those ambulances have been ready which would be soon shifted to Gaza.

He also congratulated Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust to hold such an event and appealed to the participants to make maximum purchase from the bazar so that Gaza victims could be assisted in a better way.

On this occasion, Navida Anees said that Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust is a credible name of service in the women. Motif of organizing Gaza Bazar is to help out Gaza victims and sensitizing the people about sharing each other woes, she said and added Gaza Bazar is an idea of charity bazar whose all income would be donated to Gaza victims.
