Alkhidmat Foundation sends three mobile health units, four mobile medical vans & two boat clinics to the flood affected areas
LAHORE, Oct 01 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan for provision of immediate medical treatment to the flood affectees has sent three mobile health units, four mobile medical vans and two Alkhimdat boat clinics to the flood affected areas.
While talking to media persons on the occasion Chairman Alkhidmat Health Services Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that while keeping in view the increasing cases of skin diseases, malaria and other diseases, medical treatment to the flood affectees is being provided through medical camps, field hospitals, mobile medical units, medical vans and medical boats. He said that while keeping in mind the large number of pregnant women present in the flood affected areas and due to shortage of the medical facilities, mobile health units are being established in which facilities of general examination, ultrasound, health screening, pharmacy and washroom are being provided.
Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that these mobile health units and medical vans are providing basic health facilities and medicines to nearby villages of 10 districts of Sindh and five district of Balochistan morning till evening. He said that through three mobile medical boats comprising one doctor and one dispenser are providing medical aid and medicines in far flung inundated villages.
Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that so far through 884 medical camps, 6 field hospitals, 60 mobile medical vans and three medical boats, nearly 340,000 flood affected people have been provided medical treatment.
Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, General Secretary Alkhidmat Health Services Dr. Zahid Latif, President Alkhidmat Central Punjab Ikramul Haq Subhani, General Manager Mass Media Umair Idrees, Managing Director Health Services Sufyan Khan, Senior Manager Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi and others were also present in the ceremony.
