Alkhidmat Foundation secures the first position in Height Rescue Challenge during National Rescue Challenge competition
LAHORE, Oct 07 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has secured the first position in Height Rescue Challenge during National Rescue Challenge competition organized by rescue 1122. 19 rescue teams from Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, police, NGOs and universities took part in the three-day long National Rescue Challenge.
Beside this, the culmination ceremony was attended by delegations from Turkiye, Palestine, Oman, Sri Lanka and other countries. The 18-member team of the Alkhidmat Foundation headed by Manager Alkhidmat Disaster Management Program Asif Jamal took part in height rescue, deep well rescue, water rescue, swimming and trauma and medical emergency during the National Rescue Challenge.
On the occasion Secretary Emergency Services Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer thanked Alkhidmat Foundation and other teams and said that the purpose of the National Rescue Challenge was to enhance the cooperation between the emergency services in the country and establish the same stands of the emergency services.
On the occasion Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas said that Disaster Management Program is the identity of Alkhidmat Foundation. He said that in the aftermath of any natural disasters the rescuers and volunteers of the Alkhidmat Foundation remain present as vanguard for the service of their brothers and sisters facing difficulty. He said that Pakistan has been badly affected in the result of the climate change at the international level, adding that in this situation organizing such programs is the need of the hour.
