Alkhidmat Foundation, Rescue-1122 jointly organize three-day training workshop to tackle with emergencies


MURREE, Jan 05 (SABAH): A three-day training workshop was held jointly by Alkhidmat Foundation’s Disaster Management Program and Rescue-1122 at Murree, to tackle with emergencies during rainfalls and snowing.

Motif behind conducting the three-day training workshop was to provide training to Alkhidmat Foundation’s regional representatives and volunteers to deal with emergency situations as to how to provide relief and rescue to the victims, especially during heavy downpour and snowing.

In the training workshop, Alkhidmat Foundation’s Northern Punjab President Rizwan Ahmed, Disaster Management Program Manager Asif Jamal, Deputy Manager Tayyab Bukhari, rescue trainers and other office-bearers participated.

In the training course, the participants were given training about first aid, dead body management, incident command system, fire emergencies, water emergencies, family security and other methodologies of recue.

On the culmination of the workshop, Rizwan Ahmed said that Alkhidmat Foundation has always been leading from the front during all test times faced by their brothers and sisters. He added it was not possible to thwart the natural calamities but their intensity and probable damages could be curtailed.

Rizwan Ahmed stated that Alkhidmat’s volunteers were given training pertaining to rescue and relief so that Murree like incident don’t reoccur again and added in such untoward situations lives could be saved by providing timely assistance. In the recent training, he added the participants were equipped with the modern techniques of rescuing the victims affected by snowing and heavy rains.
