Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan spent 21 billion & 49 crore rupees on welfare projects during 2023: Dr Hafeezur Rehman
ISLAMABAD, Feb 24 (SABAH): President Alkhidmat Foundation Dr Hafeezur Rehman has said that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan spent 21 billion and 49 crore rupees on welfare projects during 2023. Two crore & five lac individuals were served including orphans, students and patients.
Through 39 disaster management centres, 67 thousand volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation provided relief to six lac and 25 thousand victims. Through 22 Aghosh Centres and homes, Alkhidmat is sponsoring more than 29 thousands orphans. Alkhidmat has provided scholarships of 436 million rupees to 5269 deserving students.
While addressing donor conference of Alkhidmat Raazi Hospital Islamabad, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr Hafeeur Rehman has said that Alkhidmat is spending 7 billion and 50 crore rupees only on health department. During 2023, through 52 hospitals, 50 medical centres, 113 diagnostic centres, 310 ambulances, 54 pharmacy, 1144 medical camp, health facilities were provided to more than one crore two lac twenty one thousands individuals. Medical Director Dr Tahir Farooq on the occasion briefed the participants about the performance of hospital and future targets. Asadullah Bhutto, Hizbullah, Abdul Hafeez Bijarani and donors and notables large in number attended the donor conference.
Dr Hafeezur Rehman said that during the floods of 2022, 70,000 women were registered under “Save Mother Save Child Program” and they were provided facilities related to maternity and food on which Alkhidmat spent one billion rupees. He said these are opportunities for the pious persons that they spend their money in Alkhidmat’s projects and make their homes in paradise. One is paid many times if it is spent for the sake of Almighty Allah, he added.
According to annual report department of disaster management provided food packages to 30840 victim families and 8310 were provided with tents. Aid of 39 lac and 36 thousands was provided to prisoners, handicapped and members of minority communities. Alkhidmat Foundation has provided 43 crore rupees loans without interest to 14000 deserving individuals for establishing their businesses.
