Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan inaugurates the 275th water filtration plant in Joharabad areas of Khushab
KHUSHAB, Sep 15 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has inaugurated the 275th water filtration plant. Central Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri inaugurated the project of Alkhidmat Wash Program to provide clean and quality water to the people in the backward area of Joharabad in district Khushab.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that 70 percent of Pakistan’s population is deprived of the blessing of clean water and added diseases due to polluted water are sometimes fatal.
He said that Alkhidmat Foundation’s endeavor is to complete clean water projects on a priority basis in water-deprived backward and remote areas. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation has completed more than 23 thousand clean water projects including hand pumps, wells, electric water pumps, solar water pumps, gravity flow water supply scheme and water filtration plants.
He said 62 lakh 39 thousand people benefit daily from these projects. Regional President Alkhidmat North Punjab Rizwan Ahmed said that water supply through the projects of Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme of Alkhidmat in difficult mountainous and snowy areas is a priceless gift for the people of backward areas.
