Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan distributes winter packages in transgender community
LAHORE, Dec 28 (SABAH): While maintaining its traditions, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan like previous years is distributing the winter packages among the needy and white-collar people throughout the country. In this regard the Alkhidmat Foundation arranged distribution of winter package for transgender community.
Winter packages were distributed among over 50 persons from the transgender community in Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore. While talking on the occasion Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Zikrullah Mujahid said that transgenders are the sensitive strata of society, which is facing numerous problems. He said that to look after these people and respecting them is included in their rights.
Zikurllah Mujahid said that Alkhidmat Foundation is making efforts for the welfare of the transgender community, adding that Alkhidmat Foundation has allocated specific quota in all its departments for the transgenders. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation is distributing winter packages among 150,000 needy people this year. He said that so far 20,000 winter packages have been distributed.
Zikrullah Mujahid said that needy and white-collar classes have been badly affected due to the inflation in country. He said that the purpose of Community Services Department of Alkhidmat Foundation is to provide help to needy people in meeting their basic needs.
